People often think that the number of partners you have dictates who and what you are, I seriously beg to differ.
I have identified as polyamorous for the past 10 years. I am happiest when I have metas, especially when we are friends. This usually means my partner is happy and fulfilled. Compersion is a large party of my life, and happiness. I am capable, and often am in love with more than one person at a time. This is the lifestyle and lovestyle I have chose to lead.
HOWEVER, that does not mean I am unhappy when I have only one partner, or no metas. I am fulfilled. I am happy. I am honest with myself and my partner about my feelings and thoughts on being in a seemingly mono relationship. Because I love only one person currently, does not make me monogamous. That is equivalent to believing that a bi-sexual person is no longer bi-sexual because they are currently dating a person of the opposite sex. But that is a rant for another day.
I love my life, I love my one partner, I love that I am poly!
